344 - Lots of cookies...

Lots of cookies got made today.  Ice Box cookies and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip.  I don't know how many ice box yet as they're sitting in the "ice box" waiting to be cut up and baked.  I made 14 dozen (168 oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, though.  Not really Christmas cookies, but I'll enjoy them anyway.  Now, there's just the ice box to bake and then I might make some more shortbread cookies over the next two weekends.  After that, there'll be more important things than baking to look after.

It's snowing out there.  Again.  And, there's more expected tomorrow.  I love it!!

Did I mention my newest laptop computer?  Of course I did.  It was just the previous posting after all.  It's working like a charm and I'm very pleased with it.  I'm glad I bought it (14") rather than a big and bulky 17" or 18" which is what I had planned on.  One at 15" and one at 14" is quite sufficient for the kind of work I do and the kind of web surfing I do.  No downloading lots of music and movies.  No playing lots of games needing mega memory and super fast video.  Seems an awful waste to have to spend so much money on hardware to be able to play very expensive games on software.

I wonder where Wyatt is right now?  Seems strange not being able to read his blog.  I hope he comes back in the new year.  If not, I hope he reads my blogs later in the month when I start handing out my seasonal wishes to everyone.  And, it'd be nice to hear from him to know if he's having a good Christmas.  I'd like to think he is.

I hate to end this blog on a negative note, but I was at the doctor the other day after a three month respite from treatments.  I told him what's been going on and he checked me over and I have to go back in January for another biopsy and some further surgery.  The biopsy will be on the 5th.  I don't know when the surgery will be.  It's possible they'll have to remove part of the left side of my nose, but to what degree is unknown right now.  It may be a very, very small piece so that it'll be easy to make it look somewhat normal afterwards.  It might be a little more, though, and who knows what I'll look like then.  Time will tell.  Also, I have to see my regular doctor to see about some swollen lymph nodes and some pain every time I breath in.  Could be the breathing in is putting pressure on some of the swollen nodes and causing some pain.  Best to find out and make sure it's nothing serious.  I have to check in this Monday to see how soon I can get an appointment.  I hope it's soon.

Well, that's enough of that.  I want to get back to enjoying some Christmas music and watching the snow fall out there.  A quite nice Sunday evening, I must say.
