351 - Blushing...

I'm blushing.  I had tried to hook up my laptop to the TV downstairs so my dad could watch a DVD that wasn't working in his player.  Instead of the movie on the screen, up popped one of my porn videos.  A very handsome young man was hard as a rock and was stroking his dick with great enthusiasm.  I know my dad saw what was happening.  He didn't say anything, though.  I shut off the TV as fast as I could, but I knew it was too late.  Oh, well.  I think I'm still blushing.

350 - Come and gone...

Christmas Day and Boxing Day (if it's celebrated in your country) have both come and gone.  A new year is fast approaching and the concept of renewal takes on a whole new meaning.  Somehow we've come to see the end of one year as being the completion of a cycle and the new year as a chance of doing better than before.  Maybe Christmas gives us the gift of renewal and the new year is the opportunity to make it all happen.  If that's the way it is, then we should make some sort of attempt even if we ourselves feel it doomed to failure.   A person has to keep trying.

I had a good Christmas.  We had family here with a total of 9 mouths to feed.  It went well and several commented on how very close it was to being a perfect day.  Can't get much better praise than that.

I tried to get a "new" tradition started a few years ago by going out for a Chinese dinner between Christmas and New Year's Day.  It worked for a few years and then people started not caring and not showing up.  It was disappointing for me but, I hope to revive it again soon.  Before it's too late for all.

Mild weather is upon us.  Temperatures approaching 10C expected over the next few days and lots of rain.  Then it'll cool down towards the end of the old year and snow is expected on New Year's Eve, Day and on the 2nd of the month.  Maybe even as much as 20cm by the end of it.  Sounds good to me.

People sometimes ask me why I like the winter season and snow in particular.  Well, I just do.  But, if that's not a good enough explanation, I simply tell them that without winter and snow it'd be difficult to really appreciate Spring, Summer and Fall.  I think if a person is going to live in a place where there are four very distinct seasons, he should learn to appreciate each of them in their own right.  Winter just happens to be cold and snowy.  I just happen to like that combination.  A lot.

Well, here's hoping all of you had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year with hope and confidence.  Regardless of what happens in the world in general, we all make life what it is for ourselves.  As the late American President Abraham Lincoln once said, "Most (people) are about as happy as they make up their mind to be."  How true.
